What to know before you upgrade.
A tremolo assembly only sustains as well as the mass it transfers string energy into. Swapping a stamped zinc block for a solid C360 brass block is one of the most audible upgrades on a Stratocaster — the guitar gains low-end weight, the note bloom lengthens, and the tuning return tightens under heavy vibrato use. Aumsen tremolo blocks are offered for vintage and modern 6-screw and 2-point bridges, plus L-shape and narrow-spacing blocks for import guitars. Before ordering, measure the existing block width (thin 32–36 mm bodies vs 38–42 mm American bodies), the string spacing at the saddles, and the tremolo arm thread (M6 or 10-32). Spring claws and screw sets are stocked alongside the blocks for a complete replacement.
Material notes
Solid C360 brass is the default for denser sustain; steel blocks read brighter with slightly less bloom.
