A small shop
that machines its own.
Aumsen is a workshop that builds guitar hardware the way the originals were built — alloy first, geometry second, hand-finished, drop-in-ready. Sold worldwide on eBay, with custom and OEM runs for builders who need a part that doesn't exist yet.
We started because the parts we wanted didn't exist.
Aumsen began in 2010 in a small workshop, with a brass tremolo block sitting on the bench because every aftermarket version a player could buy was either zinc, the wrong size, or both. The first run was machined to fit a personal Stratocaster. The second run sold to a friend. The third went on eBay.
Fifteen years later, we still cut the same way: bar stock in, finished part out, same workshop, same handful of people. We do not subcontract. We do not source-and-rebrand. Every part shipped under the Aumsen name was machined by us and inspected before packing.
Most days, the work is split between catalogue parts going out to eBay buyers and custom batches going out to builders who need a bridge geometry, a saddle alloy, or a tremolo block size that nobody stocks. That balance is the company.
In-house machining
No third-party handoff. Every part is cut, finished, and inspected on machines we own and program ourselves.
Materials before geometry
We pick the alloy that matches the job — C360 brass, 304 SS, 6061-T6 aluminium, Ti-6Al-4V. The shape comes second.
Drawings, not promises
Every product page carries a dimensioned drawing. Buyers verify with callipers before ordering — that prevents most returns.
